Boys Lacrosse Camps

The exciting game of lacrosse is traditionally played in the United States and Canada but has grown in popularity across the world. It is a skilful sport and boys lacrosse camps offer a fun environment in which to improve skills, play lots of matches and make new friends.

The Jesse Hubbard Lacrosse Experience is a week long camp for players aged between 9 to 17 years old. Past camps have been located at the George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.  The next scheduled camp is for July 12 - 16, 2009, to be held at the Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA. Campers at this boys lacrosse camp stay in comfortable dormitories and train on fields with different surfaces. There is also an indoor field and a swimming pool. After training, players can socialize in the dining hall. All skill levels are catered for and each player receives individual instruction from qualified and professional coaches.  The program includes positional practice, drills and scrimmaging. There is also a Day Camp program.

Penn State Camps provide first class amenities and coaching staff. Campers stay in Residence Halls on the university campus and enjoy the leisure facilities in their spare time, including the swimming pool. The week long summer program includes intensive instruction, individual training sessions, lectures and competitions. There are separate sessions to choose from. The Nittany Lion Boys Lacrosse Goalie and the Instructional Camps are open to students entering Grade 7 through 12, the following fall. The Team Camp is for students entering Grade 9 through 12, the following fall and who are members of a Varsity High School Team or a club team. Players will practice drills, offensive and defensive techniques, and learn about tactics. Campers at this boys lacrosse camp are asked to bring their own sticks, helmets, gloves, cleats, arm and shoulder pads, and mouth guards.

The Nike Camps run several programs across the US, including the states of Florida, Connecticut, California, Virginia, Utah, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oregon, New York, and Michigan. In addition to the boys lacrosse camps, there are also camps for girls. The programs are open to students entering Grade 3 through 12 and there are camps for Overnight stay, Day and Extended Day. The training is intensive, lasting around 5 hours each day, and covers every aspect of the sport. Instruction is delivered by experienced and knowledgeable coaches. All skill levels are welcome and players are put in appropriate groups after being assessed, with regard to age and ability.  Sessions include scrimmages, drills and matches. There are also separate training sessions for goalies. The camp is friendly and everyone is encouraged to enjoy themselves as well as to learn. Each camper receives a Nike mesh practice jersey. There are prizes to be won in the categories of Outstanding Play, Improvement, and Sportsmanship.
