In my opinion, everyone should own a pair of comfort shoes. Rather they are old, beaten up gym shoes from a few years ago, well-made leather moccasins, sandals for the summer time, or some other style, your comfortable shoes are important if you want to be able to relax and unwind after a hard day of working. You should feel alright about getting them a bit dirty if you want to wear them outside, content with the sight of your toe peaking out of the whole worn in the side of the shoe, and able to feel warm memories of all the time you’ve spent walking too and fro and wearing holes in the bottoms of your sneakers.

Of course, there are people who take comfort shoes in an altogether different direction for some folks, shoe comfort is part science, part high-fashion. I have a friend who simply will not wear anything that he does not think is fashionable. In general, he is willing to put up with quite a bit of discomfort in order to wear a shoe that he really likes the look of. When he looks for comfort shoes, however, the search can take him all over the town. Finding a shoe that he considers both attractive and comfortable is something he is willing to spend the whole weekend doing.

Up until recently, his favorite comfort shoe was some obscure make of skate shoe. It had a flat bottom, a simple design, and plenty of padding. To me it looked a lot like any other skate shoe you might see someone wearing around the city, but for him it was a work of art. He went on in almost poetic language about how classic the design was. It was clear that him and that shoe were meant for each other.

Unfortunately, they do not make my friend’s preferred comfort shoes anymore, so he has to go somewhere else to find the perfect footwear. Lately, he has been getting into buying shoes online as a way to save time. Some shoe companies are very good about standardizing their shoes. If a 12 fits you in one style, it will fit you just as well in another style. Therefore, he can buy comfort shoes from his favorite companies without worrying about having to try them on. All he has to do is go online and place his order when a pair of shoes is starting to wear out.
