Newbury Bed And Breakfast

The area around Newbury in Vermont has much to offer the visitor. The scenery is lovely, particularly in the fall when the leaves turn golden. Newbury Bed and Breakfast establishments are the perfect base to enjoy the country fairs in summer and winter brings the opportunity for snow sports. Visitors also come to hunt for antiques or to go fly fishing. Hot air balloons are a common sight and there is a wide choice of golf courses.

The Whipple Tree has six guest rooms with private bath and scenic views of Mount Washington, the Presidential Range and Mount Moosilauke. Its location on top of a mountain guarantees a tranquil stay. Guests can soak in the outdoors hot tub or have fun in the Games Room. Each guest room has a television, radio and hairdryer. This West Newbury Bed and Breakfast (Fish Pond Road), boasts a Full Country Breakfast that includes home made muffins, Belgian waffles and pancakes served with locally produced maple syrup. The building has access for wheelchairs.

The Three Stallion Inn is on Lower Stock Farm Road in Randolph. It’s suitable for business gatherings and has a Conference Room, internet connection and fax facility. There are eight guest rooms with private bath in the main building and a further seven guest rooms in the Morgan House. The vast grounds contain biking, hiking, snow shoeing trails, and cross-country ski trails. There are also opportunities to keep active in the Fitness Center, which has two whirlpools, a sauna and an outdoor swimming pool. Golfers enjoy the adjacent 18-hole course and there are all weather outdoor tennis courts and a volleyball court.  The 1840 building has been restored and refurbished to the highest specification. Families are welcome at this Newbury Bed and Breakfast. The surroundings are very relaxing and guests can enjoy a quiet drink in the bar or an afternoon nap on the porch. Meals are served at Lippitt’s Restaurant. The guest rooms contain fine antiques.

The Fox Stand Inn at 5615 Route 14, Royalton is an historic brick built inn, adjacent to the White River, which is well known for its trout fishing. There are two dining rooms with fireplaces and a Tavern with a collection of sports memorabilia. The menu includes chicken, beef, seafood and pasta. This Newbury Bed and Breakfast is close to popular downhill skiing areas and cross-country skiing trails. The nearby lake is a favorite haunt in the summer for fishing, boating and swimming. There are also museums, hiking trails and golf facilities nearby.

The Inn at Montpelier is located at 147, Main Street in the National Historic District. The building is in the Greek and colonial revival style and has a wraparound porch. There are 19 guest rooms with a private bath and cable television, and Deluxe Rooms and some public areas have wood burning fireplaces. Guest rooms contain an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. There is internet access and a laundry service. An Extended Continental Breakfast is served, that includes baked goods and home made jams. The B & B is near to lakes and four main skiing areas. Staff are happy to give information on where to ski and hire ski equipment.
