People who love to travel are often incurable. Once you’ve been bitten by the travel bug, seeing new places and experiencing new cultures gets into your blood. Travel seems to bring out the romantic, gypsy aspects of your nature. So what happens when you find either time, money, or both, puts a damper on your plans for this year’s foray into places unknown? This can be sad indeed. However, life is like that, and travel blogs can feed your dreams and make you a happy armchair camper.
In fact, exploring the many excellent travel blogs can fuel your travel fire, finding new, unexplored destinations about which you can learn every little detail. When the time comes, you’ll have the adventure of your life, with all the tidbits you’ll gain from reading. Have you ever thought of booking a trip to New Zealand, Pitcairn Island or the Highlands of Ireland? There are so many destinations on the planet, that a lifetime of travel can’t possibly encompass. So while you’re in the travel doldrums, make lemonade out of lemons! There’s so much to learn.
Travel blogs afford you an opportunity to interact with fellow travelers, through postings and discussion boards. Remember that each of these people love travel just as much as you. While you were exploring Russia a couple of years ago, someone else was in Tibet. You get the picture. You have the chance to put in your two cents on St. Petersburg, while learning about Tibetan culture from someone else. You’ll be amazed at the little, but valuable insider tips that can be garnered from frequenting the travel blogs. You may know nothing of Tibetan life, but that other traveler may be able to share with you the very best, out of the way finds in food, culture and shopping. In return, you can map out St. Petersburg’s best finds for travelers.
Travel blogs also provide the very latest news on travel restrictions, airport security, in-country conditions and the like. While travel guides give an excellent overview, they cannot possibly be as up to date as the interactive travel blog forum.
Take advantage of e-newsletters offered on these sites. You’ll have access to travel bargains, traveler’s resources and great feature articles. You may develop a sudden desire to visit Timbuktu!
So how do you find a travel blog you’ll want to visit frequently? Google ’search engines travel blogs’ for an abundant display of results which will keep you occupied for weeks! If your travel interests lie within a particular continent or country, zero in on those. It won’t take long to find several to keep you busy, while you save up your money for your next trip.
There’s no question that you’ll make many new friends as you compile your wish list of destinations. For those of you with a little of the gypsy spirit, travel blogs can be a lifesaver for the travel doldrums.
